Trees are a beautiful subject for watercolor, and there are a variety of ways to paint them. In this workshop, we’ll “keep it loose” with two different techniques. First, we’ll use a mop brush to create a lush willow tree with sweeping branches of green and yellow. Our second project will be a wet-in-wet technique to create a forest grove and, once dry, we’ll use a scratching technique to reveal the white of the watercolor paper to create highlights.
