In this 4-week ceramics course, students will be introduced to skills including throwing, trimming, and glazing. Basic forms on the wheel include small cups, bowls, small plates and vases. As students progress, more complex forms and techniques will be introduced. Every class will start with a demonstration by the instructor, followed by time working with clay with instructor supervision and encouragement. For students with little to no prior wheel experience. Includes 25lb clay and bisque firing. Glazing additional charge. No previous wheel throwing experience needed. At the end of the session, current students have an opportunity to repeat the 8-week course first, before opening spots to the public.
