DESCRIPTION:Come and discover the Magic of Batik with international Batik a
 rtist\, Rosi Robinson. Batik is a traditional Far Eastern resist technique
  of decorating fabric\, using wax and dyes. You will learn how to apply ho
 t liquid wax with traditional and contemporary waxing tools\; how to mix c
 olors\; and how to apply washes of colorful dyes to fabric and paper. You 
 will learn how to build up a design starting with the lightest color\, bui
 lding up to the darkest\, how to create textures and how to remove wax at 
 the end of the process to reveal a beautiful textured design or picture.\n
 \nBatik has been Rosi's passion for over 50 years! Rosi was born in Edinbu
 rgh\, Scotland. She is based in Sussex\, England\, but visits Monkton\, Ma
 ryland for two or three months of the year. She loves doing batik\, exhibi
