SUMMARY:FREE Artist Presentation: Kevin Kallaugher of "Kaltoons"
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a one of a kind presentation\, demonstration\, and 
 Q&amp\;A by Kevin Kallaugher (Kal). Kal has been the editorial cartoonist 
 for The Economist magazine of London and the online newsletter Kal Draws T
 he Line. He is the past cartoonist for The Baltimore Sun. He has given sim
 ilar presentations\, including 3 TED talks\, to groups in 40 states and do
 zens of countries. He is excited to bring this presentation to Manor Mill 
 for FREE during his exhibit within our third floor gallery space.\nA brief
  history\, after graduating from Harvard College with honors in 1977\, Kev
 in embarked on a bicycle tour of the British Isles\, where he joined the B
 righton Basketball Club as a player and coach. After the club hit financia
 l difficulties\, Kevin drew caricatures of tourists in Trafalgar Square an
 d on Brighton Pier. In March 1978\, The Economist recruited him to become 
 their first resident cartoonist in their 145 year history. In addition\, K
 evin also landed a job creating cartoons for the Baltimore Sun for many ye
 ars.\nCome on out to learn about Kevin's journey as a cartoonist and also 
 view over 65 of his cartoons framed on our gallery walls! Not to mention t
 he huge variety of unframed drawings and prints as well!\nRegistration is 
 FREE and not required. Walk-ins will also be welcomed\, but we would like 
 to have an idea of numbers for preparation.
