 Z\n-APPROACH AND METHODS TO MIXING COLORS\, CONTROLLING EDGES AND USING MA
 SKING FLUID IN WATERCOLOR-\n\nThe goals of this three-hour class are to ch
 allenge you artistically and technically and learn to develop a strategy o
 f thinking ahead while planning future paintings. You will execute waterco
 lor painting exercises that will cover:\n-Mixing colors\n-Edges:\no Preven
 t and/ or fixing ‘tide lines.’\no Creating soft edge\no Creating hard 
 edges\n-Masking fluid:\no Straight line\no Width control\n-Lifting color\n
 Luis will display original paintings so that you can see his approach to t
 exture using the above-mentioned techniques and have a chance to ask quest
 ions in real time.\n\nRequested Materials List:\n-140 lb. watercolor paper
  cold press (block) – 9” x 12”\n-140 lb. watercolor paper cold press
  scraps\n-Ruling pen\n-Masking fluid (preferably tinted)\n-Painter’s tap
 e\n-Two triangle rulers or two (thin) metal rulers\n-Gum Arabic\n-Hand tow
 el or dry kitchen sponge(s)\n-Watercolor palette\n-Two plastic containers 
 for water\n-Misting bottle\n-Large plastic palette knife: "Scotty" Knife o
 r Trowel Offset\nWatercolor brushes (Natural or synthetic)\n-Round size 0\
 , 2\, 4\, 8 (or 10 or 12)\n-Flat ¾”\, 2”\n-Bristle (acrylic/ oil pain
 t) -Bright (filaments are shorter than the length) size 1 or 2 and 4 or 6.
