SUMMARY:Micky Braun (of Micky and the Motorcars) with Jeff Crosby: Hold Thi
 s Town Together Tour
DESCRIPTION:Micky Braun (of Micky and the Motorcars):\nFor a handful of sum
mers about 30 years ago\, tourists who wandered into a large dancehall in
Stanley\, Idaho\, witnessed a family tradition finding new life. Young and
old sat shoulder-to-shoulder\, taking a break from the town’s mountain
hikes and river campgrounds to take in Muzzie Braun and the Boys––a lo
cal family band who’d made it to the Johnny Carson Show\, effortlessly s
pouted cowboy poetry and Western swing at gatherings around the country\,
and featured Muzzie’s four young sons––precocious boys with rock-and
-roll futures\, the youngest of which is Micky Braun.\n\n\nThe Braun broth
ers never stopped. Big brothers Cody and Willy started Reckless Kelly\, an
d Micky and Gary left Idaho for Austin and started Micky and the Motorcars
\, a road-dogging favorite whose nonstop tour for the last 24 years has de
fined not just the lives of the brothers\, but also shaped Austin’s root
s-rock resurgence that has played out over the last two decades. Micky and
the Motorcars cement their place as elder statesmen of that alt-country s
cene who have managed to master that ever-elusive blend of artistic famili
arity and surprise.\n\n\nBeyond his role of co-fronting the band\, Micky h
as been a prolific writer having written with Parker McCollum\, Reckless K
 elly\, Randy Rogers\, Cody Canada\, Bruce Robison\, Kevin Welch\, Jason Ea
 dy\, Adam Hood\, Jessie Plemons\, Wade Bowen\, Courtney Patton\, and more.
“If you can put your heart on your sleeve and say it\, it’s the best
medicine for people\,” Micky says. Micky will be performing with longtim
e collaborator and writer Jeff Crosby.\nJeff Crosby:\nBorn and raised in I
daho\, Jeff Crosby has been sharing his unique perspective of Americana th
roughout the US and Europe over the past decade. After moving to Los Angel
es CA in 2012\, Crosby landed 2 songs ("This Old Town" and "Oh Love\, Oh L
ord") on the hit FX series Sons of Anarchy which has led to the band conti
nually performing over 200 shows a year throughout the US and Europe. \nA
dditionally\, Crosby spent 2015-16 on the road playing lead guitar for Wid
espread Panic song-writer Jerry Joseph\, as well as for Austin Texas road
warriors Reckless Kelly in 2019. \nCrosby has co-written songs featured o
n Austin TX band Micky &amp\; The Motorcars recent release Long Time Comin
 ’ and Reckless Kelly’s American Girls/American Jackpot. \nAfter spend
ing 3 years based in Nashville TN\, Crosby has returned to Idaho and will
continue to tour with his band full-time in support of his most recent rel
ease NORTHSTAR (APRIL 2020) and the current single “Runnin’ Free” (M
AY 2021) feat. Cody Braun (Reckless Kelly) and Produced/Engineered by Greg
 g Williams and Jonathan Tyler.
