DESCRIPTION:Manor Mill Gallery is thrilled to host New York City based acry
 lic painter\, Gigi Chen\, as our visiting artist of 2025! She will be host
 ing a full-day acrylic painting workshop titled "Neon Wings!" on Saturday\
 , September 13th. This class is appropriate for beginner\, intermediate\, 
 and advanced acrylic painters.\n\nGigi will also have her artwork displaye
 d in our gallery within our upcoming "From the Forest" exhibit during this
  workshop. To stick to the exhibit's theme\, and relate to her personal ar
 twork\, this one-day workshop will have a focus on birds and neon lighting
 \, something Gigi has mastered with acrylics! A reference photo will be pr
 ovided the day of the workshop.\n\nThe workshop will run from 10am-4pm\, w
 ith a 30-45 minute lunch break. All participants will leave having complet
 ed\, or mostly completed\, one acrylic painting. You can expect Gigi to co
 mplete an overview of herself as an artist\, give demonstrations\, followe
 d by one-on-one instruction for all participants.\n\nGigi states\, "I love
  dark and mysterious paintings. In this class\, I shall demonstrate how ad
 ding an unusual light source can really change the feel of a scene. The cl
 ass will work on a painting together from a photo reference. I will show s
 tep by step how to render a realistic scene and how to add a neon-glow to 
 a painting.\n\nGigi has an impressive exhibition record and most recently 
 exhibited internationally at BeinArt Australia! She also was a 2021 Beauti
 ful Bizarre Art Prize finalist\, had an article written about her work on 
 Thisiscolassal.com\, and recently exhibited her work at Arch Enemy Arts in
  Philadelphia. Her strong imagination and incredible skills as a painter s
 hine in her work and we are overjoyed that she will be coming this Septemb
 er 13th to share her skills\, tips and tricks with all of you!\n\nClass wi
 ll be limited to 10\, so sign up today!\n\nParticipants should plan to bri
 ng most of their own painting materials and a lunch. (There is one close l
