DESCRIPTION:We see rocks and stones on a casual basis almost every day. Whe
 n we stop and look closely\, however\, they offer a wealth of beautiful co
 lors and textures. In this workshop\, we’ll paint a beautiful rock cairn
  with liquid watercolor ink. Rock cairns (from the Scottish Gaelic word ca
 rn or “heap of stones”) have historically been used for navigational a
 ids as well as symbols of spiritual\, artistic\, or commemorative signific
 ance. We’ll create various textures and grains on our watercolor rocks u
 sing plastic wrap\, sprayed alcohol\, and sprinkled salt. We’ll add shad
 ing for dimension and final details with waterproof ink. All materials inc
 luded.\n\nBest for ages 13+
